‘Wear as much blue as you can’ day: an appreciation of the work of Willen Hospice.
Following the sad news of the recent death of one of our teaching assistants, Mrs Ann Knapton, and to show our appreciation of the fantastic work that Willen Hospice do in supporting individuals and their families with cancer, we are holding an appreciation day in school on Friday 22nd November. This will include a visit from Flo (Willen Hospice’s mascot) and a whole school assembly. We are asking the children and staff to ‘wear as much blue as they can’ that day, to show our support. We are aware that there have been a number of fundraising events in school so will not be asking children for a donation to wear blue as we want them to be able to be part of the day.
However, there will be the opportunity for the school community to make donations to Willen Hospice on the day should you wish. If you would like to make a contribution through your child, it would be greatly appreciated.
