Martin Building Heating Replacement - Year 4 Next to Relocate

Replacing all of the heating in Martin Building has begun; the heating work will continue throughout the Summer Term and should be completed by September. The contractors will work in one year group at a time, and during that time (2/3 weeks) the whole year group will be relocated into the Library and Aston Hall. The work will begin in Year 3.

The heating replacement in Martin Building is ongoing, as from Monday 25th June the contractors will begin working in year 4. For 2/3 weeks the whole year group will be relocated to the Library and Aston Hall. Furniture from their own classrooms will be moved into both areas so that there is familiarity for the children. The children will use the toilets by the library and will follow normal routines, and the existing timetable where possible. At the end of the day please collect Peridot children from the external library door and Turquoise children from the food technology door (by Astro turf)

Please be assured that the health and safety of all our children and staff will be paramount during these improvements.

We will keep parents up to date with any changes and thank you for your support in this matter.

Thank you! Urban and Rural

We have received some donations from Urban and Rural, the new estate agents in Newport Pagnell. They have presented us with a great new banner to use at sporting  events and to help identify us when we walk in the town carnival. They have also supplied tabards for our Eco Warriors to wear when they do their jobs around the school. We are always glad to have good relationships with local businesses and thank Urban and Rural for their interest in our school.

Year 1 - Working Farm Visit 10th May 2018

Year 1 are very excited to be going on a visit to a working farm in our local area. The children will get to experience the day to day running of a farm that grows crops, find out about parts of the plants as well as exploring some of the machinery used to collect the crops.

The visit is on Thursday 10th May and will be within school hours. We will be leaving school at 9.15am and will return by 1.15pm

Please ensure that your child is suitably dressed for the weather that day. Sensible shoes or wellies (if wet) are advisable as it is a working farm; a waterproof coat is essential. Children should wear their school jumpers or cardigans but may wear practical trousers that are comfortable.

You are not obliged to make a contribution towards the day visit and pupils will not be excluded through inability or unwillingness to pay. However, the visit can only go ahead if there are sufficient contributions to cover the costs. You are, therefore, invited to make a voluntary contribution of £2.60 per child which covers the cost of the coach.

To ensure the school complies fully with the policy approved by the governing body, and meets Insurance and Health and Safety regulations, the following rule applies: where paperwork is not received in advance of a school trip your child will not be allowed to participate.
