Peripatetic Music Lessons

Instrumental tuition is provided by the Milton Keynes Music Co-operative and lessons will take place in school, usually in a small group (2 to 4 students) shared lesson.

Cost

The cost of lessons are currently £65 per term or £195 per year. This cost covers 34 teaching weeks, and is considerably less than out of school private music lessons by similarly-qualified teachers. We also offer individual lessons for £406 per year.

Instrument and books

Instruments will need to be purchased or hired from the Music Service, as they cannot be provided by the school. Details about obtaining an instrument will be given to you if your child is accepted. Your child’s peripatetic teacher will speak to them about purchasing the necessary materials.

DO NOT make arrangements before this, please.

Lessons are 30 minutes long in school time and run by musicians with groups of up to 9 pupils.

The Rocksteady Programme is for all children aged 4-11 and is proven to progress musicianship, confidence and teamwork skills with no prior experience necessary.
