ABOUT US

Tickford Park Primary School can be found just off Tickford street in Newport Pagnell, on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. We are a foundation school, whose catchment area consists of Newport Pagnell and the nearby villages in KS2. The majority of our children go onto Ousedale secondary school once they finish their primary education.

We run an after-school club on site to provide wrap-around childcare for working parents, whilst a breakfast club is also offered on site by River Meadow Pre-school - a privately run nursery onsite. The local children's centre is also run from our building.

There are two school buildings, Aston building for Foundation Stage and Kay Stage 1 and Martin building for Key Stage 2.  We have a dedicated 33 computer IT suite where we are able to deliver the computing curriculum.  We are a Google workspace school, so children are given their own Google account and can access the free suit of tools at home and school.  They are have access to several online resources and homework is set through Google classroom.

We have a dedicated art room, food technology room, well stocked library and lovely outside areas for all year groups.  There are two school halls and food is cooked fresh onsite and served in both halls, for a calm dining experience.

We are lucky to have extensive outside space, with two playgrounds, a large field, woodland areas, play equipment, an all weather MUGA, allotment area and wildlife area.

We can offer tuitioned music lessons provided by expert music teachers during the school week, rocksteady band is also an option, as well as choir run by school staff.  Children will get the opportunity to play various musical instruments during their time at Tickford park and attend music festivals and events.

Sport is very important at Tickford Park and our children are proud to represent their school and play at some of the highest levels.  There are numerous opportunities to take part in extra-curriculum activities.  We have a dedicated sports coach who helps to give the children a chance to excel at various sports.  Children are also given swimming lessons during key stage 2, at the nearby Middleton swimming pool, where they can walk to their lessons.

The school offers various after school clubs throughout the school year, run by both staff and paid club leaders.  These vary from term to term to give pupils across the school a broad and relevant offer.

"Staff have created a culture where all pupils shine for who they are and what they can achieve."

“Our school is lovely because I have so many friends and you can play with everyone. We always make sure we respect each other and we can always show who we really are.”

OUR ETHOS

Learning is natural

 “Inspiring Each Other, Creating Opportunities”

At Tickford Park we enable our children to become confident and achieve their potential. We help them develop life skills, in order to meet the challenges of both today’s and tomorrow’s society. Our children are nurtured within an exciting, caring and dynamic environment which encourages academic learning and achievement. The qualities of each individual child are valued and developed.

It is important to us that we create effective partnerships with all our parents and stakeholders. We value strong personal relationships between all the members of our school family and local community.

We provide an excellent educational experience for our children and, as a school, strive for improvement by continually challenging ourselves to make our school the best it can be.
